MY EXPERIENCE

Universal Destinations and Experiences

From September 2023 to April 2024, I interned on the Owned Social Media team at Universal Orlando Resort. During my internship, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in a dynamic and creative environment at one of the biggest theme parks in the world. From managing projects for their marquee events like Halloween Horror Nights and Universal Mardi Gras to contributing to the launch strategies of new destinations such as DreamWorks Land and Epic Universe, I honed my skills in content strategy and creation. Working closely with management, I utilized my expertise in graphic design, photography, copywriting, and video production to bring ideas to life. Whether capturing live content in the park or collaborating with various teams across Universal Orlando, I gained invaluable experience in crafting compelling, social-first storytelling. Additionally, managing projects that provided strategic social marketing support to Universal Destinations and Experiences in Orlando, Hollywood, and Japan broadened my understanding of the global entertainment industry.

Marriott Vacations Worldwide

From May through December 2022, I was a social media marketing intern at Marriott Vacations Worldwide. I took part in all aspects of social media management and marketing for all three Marriott Vacations Worldwide brands: Marriott Vacation Club, Sheraton Vacation Club, and Westin Vacation Club. I created content planning calendars, created content ideas, conducted research on trends and market interests, gathered UGC, and edited videos and created graphic design for social media posts. Interning at Marriott Vacations Worldwide in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment was an incredibly educational experience that provided a lot of "real world" industry insight.

Harajuku Rose

In high school, I single-handedly created an online clothing store inspired by Japanese street fashion trends. I manage Harajuku Rose's social media, created its website and all promotional materials, as well as respond to customer questions or concerns. I create marketing strategies through social media and manage all business operations, including finance and customer relations. I develop creative ways to build brand trust and loyalty and create compelling visual content to achieve the greatest reach and shareability. This store is also used as a platform for change, as 20% of all profits benefit Charity: Water, a nonprofit organization that works to end the world water crisis.

Sparks Magazine

Sparks Magazine is a student-made publication that amplifies Asian, Pacific-Islander, and Desi-American voices. I designed two spreads for Sparks Magazine in UCF's 19th and 20th issues, and wrote an article that appeared in the University of South Florida's 19th issue. I collaborated with writers to design spreads for their articles that truly brought their visions to life. I developed skills in Adobe InDesign and copywriting through working with Sparks, and I also gained experience working with large teams to create an aesthetically-pleasing and informative finished product.                                                

UCF Affirmations

In June of 2021, I started @ucfaffirmations on Instagram. This account quickly grew to become one of the largest non-UCF affiliated online communities. I post satirical affirmations that relate to the UCF student experience, and I developed a highly engaged and active community of fellow students, faculty, and alumni.
